Welcome! I am Susan Mahrdt, the new owner of Rhea Lana's of North Coast San Diego.

As a mom of three, I know how quickly our kids grow, one minute their clothes fit, the next minute you're wondering when they turned into giants overnight!

That's why Rhea Lana's immediately caught my heart 💗. It brings families together, keeps kids' closets affordable, and creates a warm, supportive community of parents who understand the fast pace of raising little ones.

Stepping into this role just felt like the perfect fit. I'm excited to bring strong organization, clear communication, and plenty of care to every event we host.

My goal is simple: to create a smooth, enjoyable experience for shoppers and consignors while building a welcoming, family-focused presence here in Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista.

I'm all about transparency, quality, and making our events a place where families feel valued, encouraged, and excited to participate. Whether you're consigning for the first time or shopping for your growing crew, I'm here to make the process easy, friendly, and even fun.

Although there are other consignment events, Rhea Lana's is the only one we felt driven to participate in due to the company's impeccable standards. Each of the items you consign in our sale is tracked and accounted for or you will be reimbursed. You can track your sales online during the event, and your check and detailed inventory report are ready on "pick up day".

Back in 1997, Rhea Lana hosted her very first sale right in her living room in Arkansas. She had 11 consignors, three little racks of clothes, and a whole lot of determination. She hand-wrote every tag, rewashed outfits, and even ironed items herself, a true mom style! Before long, her husband jumped in to help and created a computerized system (way before most families even knew what a website or email address was). He's been the behind-the-scenes "tech hero" ever since, helping the business grow while keeping that same heart and mom-friendly spirit alive. With that spirit comes Rhea Lana's Mission Statement which is:

"To serve with love and integrity, families everywhere with inviting, excellent and valuable children's consignment events." Whether you are a consignor, volunteer, shopper or vendor it is our goal to always provide you with the excellent experience you deserve.

I am excited to be a part of the San Diego community and look forward to introducing local families to a new way of outfitting your kids with the highest quality clothes, toys and gear at prices every family can afford!
